Frequently asked questions

How do I delete a page from a PDF?

Open the PDF, click the page thumbnail to mark it, and click Remove. You get a copy of the PDF without that page.

Can I remove several pages at once?

Yes. Click as many pages as you like, shift-click to mark a run, or type ranges such as 2, 5-7 into Pages to remove.

Will removing pages change the rest of the PDF?

The pages you keep stay in their original order and aren't re-compressed, so they look the same. Bookmarks that point to kept pages, and form fields on them, are kept; bookmarks to removed pages are dropped. The title and author are kept too.

Can I delete every page?

No. A PDF needs at least one page, so at least one must be kept.

Does deleting pages make the file smaller?

Usually, since the removed pages' content isn't copied. For a bigger reduction, run Compress PDF on the result.

Is my PDF uploaded to delete pages?

No. Pages are removed in your browser and the file stays on your device.

Delete, extract or organize?

Typical uses: removing blank pages from a scan, dropping the instructions page from a filled form before submitting it, or taking out pages with personal details before sharing a statement. If you need to hide part of a page rather than the whole page, use Redact PDF.
