SVG to PNG Converter

Render an SVG to a PNG at any size, or to JPEG, WebP or AVIF, with a transparent or coloured background. The SVG is drawn in your browser and never uploaded.

How to use SVG to PNG

  1. Paste SVG code or drop an SVG file.
  2. Choose a Scale (1x to 4x), or Width to type an exact width in pixels.
  3. Pick the output format and a Background colour, or leave it transparent.
  4. Click Download.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert SVG to PNG with a transparent background?

Leave the background transparent and download as PNG. The empty areas of the SVG stay see-through.

How do I get a high-resolution PNG from an SVG?

Set a larger scale such as 4x, or type the exact width you need, up to 16,384 px per side. Vector shapes and text stay sharp at any size; photos embedded inside the SVG are bitmaps and will blur if enlarged beyond their own resolution.

Can I convert SVG to JPG?

Yes. Choose JPEG as the format. JPEG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white unless you pick another background colour.

Why is text or an image missing from my PNG?

When an SVG is converted, browsers block fonts and images it links to from other files, and the tool warns you when it finds such links. Convert text to outlines or embed the font and images in the SVG, then try again.

What size do I get if the SVG has no width or height?

The size comes from the viewBox. With neither, browsers use 300×150 px, so set a Width yourself.

Is my SVG uploaded?

No. It is drawn and converted in your browser.

What size to export

UseSuggested width
Favicon and app icons512 px, then use the favicon generator for every size
Logo on a website2x the displayed width, for sharp high-density screens
Slides and documents1920 px

PNG, JPEG, WebP or AVIF?

PNG keeps transparency exactly and is the safe choice for logos and icons. JPEG suits photos on a solid background. WebP and AVIF give smaller files for websites. To keep it as a vector instead, shrink it with the SVG optimizer.
