WebP to JPG Converter

Saved an image from a website and got a .webp file your app or upload form won't take? Drop it here to get a standard JPG. Convert many at once, pick the quality, and download them together. Nothing leaves your device.

How to use WebP to JPG

  1. Drop WebP files here or choose files.
  2. Each one is converted to JPG straight away.
  3. Adjust the Quality, or set a Target file size (preset or Custom) if a form has a KB limit, with a Minimum size if it gives a range.
  4. Download each JPG, or Download all as a .zip.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I open a WebP file?

Some older apps and many upload forms don't support WebP. Converting it to JPG makes it work everywhere.

Will I lose quality?

Very little at the default quality, since 70 to 85 is usually indistinguishable from the original. WebP is often already lossy, so raise the Quality slider to avoid adding a second round of loss.

What happens to transparency?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Use WebP to PNG to keep them.

Can I convert animated WebP?

Only the first frame is converted, as a still JPG.

My form needs a JPG under 50 KB. Can I do both?

Yes. Set Target file size to 50 KB here, or use compress to 50 KB, which also accepts WebP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, and EXIF data in the WebP isn't copied to the JPG.
